Applied Serendipity: Oct. 28
A look at how I’ve used Applied Serendipity in my own life lately:
CARE: Caring that the midterm elections are in full swing. Hoping that wisdom will prevail and extremism on all fronts will be defeated.
PREPARE: Taking a data-driven approach to figure out how much candy to buy for Halloween. Factors to consider: turnover on our street; new families; decent weather; post-COVID. Having fun with this riddle!
AWARE: Observing the trees we planted in the spring - Cornus Kosa exhibiting beautiful berries in its first autumn in our garden.
SHARE: What I’m not really reading though Greg kindly got it from the library at my request - finding the topic a bit depressing… When McKinsey Comes to Town
DARE: Daring to reconnect with colleagues in the data field I’ve known over the years and am inspired by the new projects that are emerging. Applied serendipity in action. Reconnect and see what fruit will bear!
