Applied Serendipity: Dec. 6

CARE: I had the opportunity today to meet with Tara and her team at FeedmoreWNY. Tara and I go way back—we reminisced how 25 years ago we were colleagues at M&T Bank and about this time then were both on maternity leave with our new baby boys. Time flies… Tara serves as CEO of Feedmore, a vital community service that provides more than 17 million pounds of food through numerous programs across four counties. And Feedmore is breaking ground on a new campus spring 2024—learn more about this important project.

PREPARE: I was mulling over my business plan for next year on a recent walk in the woods, where I often have my best ideas. One of my rituals on my brainstorming walks is to stop by my atelier, journal, read, and occasionally pull a tarot card. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking as to which card I might pull! This week my card was Two of Wands reversed, which means go for it—prepare, but not too much. That was just the message I needed to hear!

AWARE: So much in life and relationships turns out to be about boundaries and how we empower ourselves. I’m finding this article to be helpful as I think about how to make some adjustments in 2024.

SHARE: I’m excited to teach another session of Building a Bankwide Data Management Program for the American Bankers Association in January. Bankers, I hope you’ll join me!

DARE: I bought sequin pants for the holidays and am picking them up from the tailor today!
