Applied Serendipity: Oct. 2
CARE: I had a big goal for myself this year: planting an orchard that would actually produce a few fruit I could enjoy this fall. With the help of my forester, we planted 13 varieties of pears and apples. Even though I bought the most mature trees available, the nursery said that it could take 2-5 years for fruit to appear. But I was lucky—yesterday I walked through the woods and picked my first orchard apple—a Winecrisp—indeed very crisp and sweet. Nothing like walking through the woods and foraging for a snack. Can’t wait to see the 2024 harvest.
PREPARE: Pulled the fall honey off the hives yesterday—interested to see what mix of goldenrod, knotweed, and asters it will contain. The color will give a hint. Join the fall honey wait list here and check out the new video that shows the bees in full nectar flow mode.
AWARE: Hosted a webinar attended by more than 300 people live world-wide on financial inclusion, CX and diversity in the digital age. Will post some highlights in the coming weeks.
SHARE: Excited to be continuing to expand my business with new partnerships and deepen my relationships with my current clients—one even told me today that I am “giving 200% and helping a lot.” Loving what I do.
DARE: Mick Jagger is running a business empire well into the 6th decade. “I don’t actually really like business, you know what I mean? Some people just love it. I just have to do it. Because if you don’t do it, you get f—ed.” Exactly. Dare to take ownership of your life, your business, your career. Nobody cares about you more than you do.
