Applied Serendipity: May 26

A look at how I’ve used Applied Serendipity in my own life lately:

CARE: Met so many inspiring leaders at the Women In Data DataLit Summit in DC this week and gave keynote on Data Literacy and Allyship. Energized to see so many women leaders driving critical data and business value in their organizations.

PREPARE: Washing and staining decks, finishing getting the summer annuals out, painting the patio furniture as we move into summer mode. #ThinkOutside

SHARE: One of the women I talked to at the reception at the Women’s DataLit Summit volunteers at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Very moving, especially with Memorial Day weekend here, to hear stories of visitors to the Memorial and their experience in seeing names on the wall of family and friends or those with whom they served.

AWARE: The Forget-me-Nots in full bloom in our region are a symbol and reminder of Memorial Day and of those we remember.

DARE: Took my own advice from my keynote this week to Dare to meet a new ally at the Women in Data Summit - in fact met several people I am in now in touch with for interesting partnerships.
