Applied Serendipity: Jan. 8
CARE: #LessIsMore2024 is my catchphrase for the year, and it came to me serendipitously when I was walking in the woods the other day. I hope this # helps remind me to focus on the things I really care about—and say no to things I don’t.
PREPARE: Had fun hosting a bridal shower in my cabin—a close family friend is having a forest-themed wedding, so we had an enchanted forest afternoon by the fire in jeans and flannels (my daughters are in the pic!). Lots of preparation to host a shower but it was worth it.
AWARE: I’ve become aware of McKinsey’s Health Institute. Their team believes that “over the next decade, humanity could add as much as 45 billion extra years of higher-quality life (roughly six years per person on average—and significantly more in some countries and populations) and our mission is to help drive change across continents, sectors, and communities to realize this possibility.” Learn more here.
SHARE: Heading to Las Vegas to host a panel on banking and innovation at CES. This is the biggest tech show in the world—excited to see the latest innovations and share what’s trending. And my sequin pants will come in handy!
DARE: I attended and spoke up at our Town Board meeting. I dared myself to be bold in my remarks—it was rewarding and empowering. What do you dare to speak up about?
