A baby bee from one of Allison Sagraves' hives

CARE: Peeked into my hives to add some winter food to my beehives this week; they are bursting at the seams. With our long winters here, I was so relieved to see how healthy the bees are inside the hives. A baby bee even flew out and hung out on my leg for awhile!

PREPARE: Getting ready to meet my 5th class in person at Carnegie Mellon. Spent the weekend reviewing student projects -the students are accomplished data pros from around the world! I learn so much from them. My role as Adjunct Faculty is a very rewarding part of my Act II!

AWARE: My recent mammogram report indicated that Computer-Aided Detection was used in conjunction with a radiologist. This is a basic form of AI that can help doctors be more efficient and provide a second check. AI is already here. Reminder to schedule your screening!

SHARE: Proud to share that the work and lessons learned by Chief Data Officers has created the foundations for organizations to adopt AI. The New York Times recently featured my piece on this topic.

DARE: As we celebrate Black History Month, let’s honor these women who dared to break boundaries in STEM.
