Applied Serendipity: Dec. 9

A look at how I’ve used Applied Serendipity in my own life lately:

CARE: Caring about the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens and the work we are doing in strategic planning for the future of the Gardens. Enjoyed the opening of the Magical Poinsettias exhibit at Gardens After Dark.

PREPARE: Getting started setting up a data cloud environment with my son-in-law to run experiments on public datasets. More to come on this adventure.

AWARE: Wondering if things are returning a bit to more normalcy - good post on Axios

SHARE: Foraged the forest for greens to make wreaths for family - hoping to offer a wreath-making workshop next year.

DARE: Dared to buy an actual Testa di Moro (which I have been obsessed with while watching The White Lotus) at the Bottega at DiTondo’s, a fourth-generational restaurant in Buffalo exquisitely reminagined by Rita Di Tondo. Have been eyeing these ceramic statues on The White Lotus and could not believe there were a few for sale at the restaurant. Seeing them was serendipity - buying one for my home is applied serendipity!
