Applied Serendipity: Dec. 16
A look at how I’ve used Applied Serendipity in my own life lately:
CARE: Caring about really enjoying the holiday season this year in Act II. Appreciating the slower pace and ability to work when I choose.
PREPARE: Made wreaths from greens from the forest - pines, spruce, boxwood, fir. I planted holly this year but the deer ate it. Oh well. One of my favorite things to do at Christmas. Symbol of immortality and renewal.
AWARE: That the solstice is approaching in a few days. I love to celebrate the solstice - and particularly welcome the beginning of lengthening daylight. I will stand outside at dusk, light a candle, burn incense and read a poem. Selecting a poem is always fun…
SHARE: Looking forward to singing Christmas carols with family this upcoming week. Singing together is good for your health, as it turns out. https://studyfinds.org/singing-christmas-carols-good-for-you/
DARE: Working on a provocative piece on the “S” in ESG. Really excited for this to be published in the new year, along with some other pieces on data topics. Daring to collaborate with some incredible thinkers. Interesting and challenging work in Act II. And dared to add my own blog post by myself before my official web training in January…This post was a test!
